Mount boards

I only use conservation grade mount board with a selection in stock, and can order from a choice of approximately 400 colours.

Glass

Standard picture glass, 2mm
Anti reflective glass, 2mm
Various UV protective and anti reflective glass, 2mm
For frames over 1m wide/tall, 3mm glass
Acrylic if the picture frame is to be posted

Picture frame mouldings

I have samples of more than 500 mouldings in my shop, and catalogues for hundreds more.

Backboards

I use Tawnyboard which is pH neutral with damp proof membrane – graded as conservation quality.
Backs are properly sealed with brown gummed tape and given a suitable hanging cord. Other fixings are available.

All frames have thick felt bumpers on the lower back corners to allow air flow behind the picture and help keep them straight on the wall.
